Living your brand story will help make it spread.

This week, our team helped capture content for our clients at Red Hills Markets/Rainey Cawthon Distributors for a check presentation they did with Second Harvest of the Big Bend. Red Hills Markets, which operates 10 Shell gas stations and stores in the Tallahassee area, partnered with Second Harvest to do a fundraising campaign in support of its mission to combat hunger in the region. At that check presentation, I saw something that made me smile.

Upon arriving, I was greeted by the wonderful Monique Ellsworth, CEO of Second Harvest of the Big Bend. I was caught off guard because she carried a handful of warm food items inside the store. When I asked her what she was up to, she shared that there was a man in the parking lot who was hungry and asking for help. Monique, being true to her organization’s brand mission, took the hot meal to this man and offered him the help he needed. It was quite refreshing to see.

I’ve since shared that story with numerous people because it made an impression on me. Monique and her team don’t just talk about reducing hunger; they act. It was a perfect example of what it looks like when you live out your brand story. Imagine what will happen when your customers see you doing the same. Like me, they’ll tell others and your story will spread!

Also, good for our friends at Red Hills Markets who raised over $12,000 for Second Harvest through donations at their stores this month!

 

Revellation

The most believable stories are those which are obviously true.

We don’t invent brand stories for clients. Instead, we insist on revealing truths about who our clients are and what they do. Nobody is going to believe you if you tell a story that isn’t true. The best way to build a brand is to show people who you are over and over again. Be authentic, be consistent, and tell those stories earnestly and you’ll enjoy the magical compounding interest of sharing those truths.

 

A Story We Told

This week, we helped our clients at Sperry Construction land a great story in the Tallahassee Democrat about how they are bringing an important dream to life. Their clients, Capital Eurocars, are making a huge investment in upgrading their dealerships across Tallahassee. That includes their all-new BMW – Jaguar – Land Rover dealership completed last fall; the Porsche of Tallahassee nearing completion now; and a brand new Volvo-VW dealership, which just broke ground.
